Notes

'Ama-no-sode' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ama-no-sode') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Mid season flowers are large, with rose-pink petals forming a saucer around a center of yellow staminodes. The blooms are fragrant and look like crimped wild roses. Strong stems hold them up well.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
