Notes

'Amado' coneflower (Echinacea purpurea 'Amado') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White petals surround a greenish-orange center cone from early to late summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Moonshine yarrow, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
