Notes

'America' rose (Rosa 'America') is a vine for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The heavily petalled orange-pink blooms have a sweet fragrance, and bees and butterflies visit them. William A. Warriner bred it, and it has stayed a favorite climber.

Pairs well with Nelly Moser clematis, Butterfly bush, Feather reed grass, and Ornamental onion.
