Notes

'American Dream' rose (Rosa 'American Dream') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows upright to about 65 inches tall and has medium green leaves. The dark red blooms are fragrant and attract bees. Joseph F. Winchel bred it in 1987.

Pairs well with Cora Louise peony, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Gladiolus.
