Notes
'Amethyst Dream' knapweed (Centaurea Montana 'Amethyst Dream') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a clumping mound that grows rapidly to 12 to 24 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Columbine, and Caramel coral bells.
