'Amethyst Ice' primrose (Primula vulgaris 'Amethyst Ice') is a perennial for borders, woodland gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun. The double flowers are rich blue violet with edges of light blue or white. They are fragrant and bloom from early to late spring. This primrose returns each spring and gets bigger and fuller each year.
Pairs well with Liverleaf, Chocolate lily, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
