Notes
'Andrew Jackson Davis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Andrew Jackson Davis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its double red flowers open early, from early to mid spring. The stems are strong and tall, so the blooms stand up well in the garden and in a vase.
Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
