Notes

'Ann Styer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ann Styer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears creamy white bomb type blooms in early to mid spring. John Franklin Styer bred it in 1947 as a sport of 'Mons Jules Elie'. The stems are not entirely straight, so you may want to give them support.

Pairs well with Lupine, New England aster, Royal fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
