Notes

'Liberty' hosta (Hosta 'Liberty') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Its variegated leaves form an upright clump, and lavender flowers appear above them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Visions Chinese astilbe, and Fringed bleeding heart.
