Notes

'Apeldoorn' tulip (Tulipa 'Apeldoorn') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It bears red blooms from early to late spring on stems that reach 12 to 24 inches tall. D.W. Lefeber & Co. bred it.

Pairs well with Wood forget-me-not, Armenian grape hyacinth, Imperial fritillary, and Spring Green tulip.
