Aphrodite fringed iris

Garden uses

Notes

'Aphrodite' fringed iris (Iris japonica 'Aphrodite') is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun. Its evergreen leaves are striped creamy white and green, and fragrant white flowers open in early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It naturalizes easily, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Blue star creeper, Snowdrop, and White bigleaf hydrangea.
