Notes

'Variegata' fringed iris (Iris japonica 'Variegata') is a perennial for ground cover and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The arching, evergreen clumps tolerate drought and bloom from early to late spring.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Wild geranium, and Little brown jug.
