Notes

'Apollo' holly-leaved barberry (Berberis aquifolium 'Apollo') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. Flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees and birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. This evergreen is drought tolerant and grows slowly.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Lady fern, and Northwind switchgrass.
