Notes

'Applause' rose (Rosa 'Applause') is a shrub for borders, containers, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It stays small, reaching about 16 inches tall, with an upright habit and medium green leaves. Fragrant apricot blooms open from late spring into early autumn and attract bees. John Saville bred it in 1999.

Pairs well with Gaura, Clary sage, and California poppy.
