Notes

Armenian cranesbill (Geranium psilostemon) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The dark magenta blooms have a jet black center and appear in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Ox-eye daisy, and Bouquet peony.
