Notes

'Aubesan' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Aubesan') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, lilac-pink flowers have a Japanese form with pink staminodes and bright red carpel tips. Many blooms sit high above the compact foliage in mid to late spring and early summer.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Alaska violet.
