Notes

'Avra' peony (Paeonia 'Avra') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant single flowers open in early to late spring with a light yellow tint and fade to pure white. Nassos Daphnis bred it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Sweet William, and Stargazer lily.
