Notes

'Buckeye Belle' peony (Paeonia 'Buckeye Belle') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its dark red, semi-double flowers are fragrant, open early, and draw bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Walter Z. Mains bred it.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
