Notes
'Baby Cakes' California blackberry (Rubus 'Baby Cakes') is a shrub for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. White flowers open in early to late spring. Berries ripen slowly, so ripe black and unripe red fruit hang together and look ornamental. It has no thorns and fits a large container or a small garden.
Pairs well with Honeyberry, Hazelnut, Golden Delicious apple, and Raspberry Sundae peony.
