Notes
'Ballerina Pink' meadow sage (Salvia pratensis 'Ballerina Pink') is a perennial for pollinator gardens, borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Soft pink flowers with dark mauve pink calyxes rise above emerald-green foliage. Blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn, and they attract hummingbirds and bees. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Arizona Sun blanket flower, Showy milkweed, and Foxtail barley.
