Notes

'Indigo' meadow sage (Salvia pratensis 'Indigo') is a perennial for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It blooms from early to late summer and has fragrant flowers. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Arizona Sun blanket flower, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Blue grama.
