Baltic Blue primrose

Notes

'Baltic Blue' primrose (Primula vulgaris 'Baltic Blue') is a perennial with fragrant blue flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. Fully double, ruffled, soft to mid blue flowers have darker striping and open from early to late spring. They sit above compact, bright green leaves that reach 4 to 8 inches tall. The plant returns each spring and gets bigger and fuller each year.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Snowdrop, and Tree peony.
