Notes
'Barnsley' tree mallow (Malva clementii 'Barnsley') is a shrub for perennial borders, containers, and hot, dry sunny spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Pink blooms, 2 to 3 inches wide, open from early summer to early autumn and attract bees. The maple-shaped leaves add interest between flowers. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Autumn moor grass, Star of persia, and Shenandoah switchgrass.
