Notes

Barrenwort (Epimedium wushanense) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen, and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches wide.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Elegans hosta, and Miscanthus.
