Notes

'Sulphureum' bishop's hat (Epimedium versicolor 'Sulphureum') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It stays evergreen and tolerates drought, and its yellow flowers attract bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 9 to 12 inches tall.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Toad lily, and Autumn fern.
