Notes

Bee's primrose (Primula bulleyana) is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Flowers open rose pink with an orange-yellow center eye and stand in tiers on tall stems. Bees visit the blooms, and planting it in colonies makes a bold show. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Japanese forest grass, and Ostrich fern.
