It is one of the more cold-hardy crops and can keep growing through light freezes with some winter protection. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It matures in 48 days. Bees and butterflies visit its flowers.
Pairs well with Celeriac, Kent Beauty oregano, and Everbearing strawberry.
