Notes

'Beth' pear (Pyrus communis 'Beth') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. East Malling Research bred it. It is grown for fresh eating, and you will need a second pear nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Apple, Big bluestem, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
