Notes

'Beuvronensis' Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris 'Beuvronensis') is a shrub for specimens, rock gardens, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows in a narrow, columnar shape and stays between 24 and 48 inches tall. The evergreen needles are fragrant and keep color all winter. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Witch hazel.
