Notes
'Bijou' blanket flower (Gaillardia aristata 'Bijou') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. It forms a tidy clump of orange-red blooms that open in spring, summer, and early autumn, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. It tolerates drought, so it needs little care once settled.
Pairs well with Blue grama, Moonshine yarrow, and Eastern columbine.
