Notes

Bishop's hat (Epimedium stellulatum) is a perennial for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and dry to average soil. It grows 9 to 18 inches tall and 9 to 18 inches wide, so it forms a low, tidy patch. White flowers appear in mid to late spring. Plant it under trees or shrubs where other plants struggle to grow.

Pairs well with Ebony spleenwort, Densiformis yew, and Wild hyacinth.
