Notes

'Black Eye' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Black Eye') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds all visit the fragrant mauve to lavender pink blooms, which have a darker eye and a green throat. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is also drought tolerant and salt tolerant.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea, and Arizona Sun blanket flower.
