Notes

'Blaze' rose (Rosa 'Blaze') is a climbing shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Medium red, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees. The canes have few or no thorns, so training them on a support is easy. Joseph W. Kallay bred it in 1932.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, Dense blazing star, and Big bluestem.
