Notes

'Blue Bedder' viper’s bugloss (Echium vulgare 'Blue Bedder') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. It grows in a clump up to 24 inches tall and wide, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Its drought tolerance makes it easy to care for.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, and Blue grama.
