Notes

'Blue Mist' dwarf fothergilla (Fothergilla gardenii 'Blue Mist') is a shrub for foundation plantings, hedges, woodland gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its rounded form grows slowly to 24 to 36 inches tall. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Bees and birds visit the fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Little bluestem, and Obedient plant.
