Notes

'Blue Spritz' Japanese iris (Iris ensata 'Blue Spritz') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Astilbe, Alexander loosestrife, and Scorpion spotted beebalm.
