Notes

'Bogatyr' garlic (Allium sativum 'Bogatyr') is a bulb grown for cooking and roasting. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is a purple stripe hardneck garlic with a strong, fiery, long lasting heat. Plant it in fall and harvest in mid to late summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Ivory Princess calendula, Red fescue, and Zucchini.
