Notes

'Spanish Roja' garlic (Allium sativum 'Spanish Roja') is a bulb for growing in an annual bed. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. This hardneck Rocambole garlic has a strong, spicy flavor and stores 4-6 months. Plant it in fall and harvest in mid to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Grape hyacinth, Blanket flower, and Cortland apple.
