Notes

'Bridal Silk' common poppy (Papaver rhoeas 'Bridal Silk') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and low maintenance beds. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Cut the stems for bouquets to enjoy the blooms indoors.

Pairs well with Ballerina zinnia, Pincushion flower, and Black Oil sunflower.
