Notes

'Brown Velvet' rose (Rosa 'Brown Velvet') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Russet, fragrant blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Samuel Darragh McGredy IV bred it in 1982.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Blue wild indigo, and Baby's breath.
