Notes

'Budapest' tulip (Tulipa 'Budapest') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers glow scarlet outside, with outer petals flamed in rhodonite red. Inside, the base is buttercup yellow with black blotches and purple anthers. The leaves are mottled, and the plant blooms from early to late spring.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Blush peony, and Fanal astilbe.
