Notes
'Buttons and Bows' Mexican hat (Ratibida columnifera 'Buttons and Bows') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. It forms a clump 24 to 30 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. Golden-edged rusty petals surround brown center disks from early to late summer, with more blooms in early autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.
