Notes
'Campbell Carpet' slender mountain mint (Pycnanthemum tenuifolium 'Campbell Carpet') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, ground cover, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid pace and spreads 36 to 84 inches wide, so give it room. White flowers appear in early to late summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. The leaves are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Wild bergamot, Big bluestem, and Black chokeberry.
