Notes

Mountain mint (Pycnanthemum setosum) is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. White flowers open in mid to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The leaves are fragrant, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Hollyhock, and Gladiolus.
