Notes

'Candy Heart' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Candy Heart') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large double white flowers have pink tints and red splotches on some petals. They bloom in late spring and early summer on strong stems. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1961.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Pincushion flower, and Love-in-a-mist.
