Notes

'Cantate' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Cantate') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The tall spikes carry fragrant purple blooms in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. Coöperatieve Kwekersvereniging Horizon U.A. bred it.

Pairs well with Montbretia, Black-eyed Susan, and Knotweed.
