Notes

'Captain Kilbee Stuart' rose (Rosa 'Captain Kilbee Stuart') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright canes have few or no prickles, and the fragrant dark red blooms attract bees. Flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and once more in early autumn. Alexander Dickson II bred it in 1922.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Virginia sweetspire, Fountain grass, and Lily.
