Notes
'Century Yellow' cockscomb (Celosia argentea 'Century Yellow') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast, tolerates drought, and draws butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Cut stems make a bright indoor bouquet.
Pairs well with Mammoth Grey Stripe sunflower, Isabel dahlia, and Hyacinth bean.
