Notes

'Sylphid' celosia (Celosia argentea 'Sylphid') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows fast and stands erect to 24 to 30 inches tall. Light yellow-green blooms appear from early to late summer and again in autumn. Butterflies and bees visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. The plant also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Sulfur cosmos, Crestar Mix zinnia, and Red fescue.
