Notes
'Chief Mix' celosia (Celosia argentea 'Chief Mix') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and accents. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. The erect plants grow fast to 36 to 40 inches tall and bloom in red, gold, and rose. Butterflies and bees visit the uniform plants.
Pairs well with California Giants zinnia, Hyacinth bean, and Arizona Sun blanket flower.
